The Museum of Senseless School Shootings
Three months into 2018, and already there have been 18 school shootings, according to a report by ABC. 18. For too long, as a country we have become normalized to hearing about school shootings and senseless gun violence. And this needs to change, by pushing stronger gun legislation not just for our future, but in honor of those who innocently and violently lost their lives. The Museum for Senseless School Shootings serves to remember and immortalize those who lost their lives permanently.
From the beginning, this country has been divided. We exist as part of a dichotomy, as our self-discovery leads to classification, and classification to division. The two party system has ruled American politics with pristine structure, but also with painful division, where the opposite party is the enemy. We are not enemies. We are humans. We are all the same, no matter our party. If we expect this nation to continue as a safe haven and role model, we need to work together. We need unity.
